#BHM25

Call for submissions for Black History Month 2025 is now open!

Black History Month (BHM) across Glasgow and Scotland has been co-ordinated by the Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights (CRER) since 2001. BHM gives an opportunity to bring together people of all cultures and ethnicities to celebrate the key role that African, Caribbean and Asian people have played in Scottish history and society.

Throughout BHM, CRER sets out to broaden understanding and knowledge around the achievements and resilience shown by African, Caribbean and Asian and other adversely racialised communities in Glasgow and across Scotland. BHM further aims to shine a light on the key role Black and minority ethnic communities and individuals have played in influencing Scotland’s past and present.

These events aim to promote a greater learning and understanding of the achievements, contributions, and experiences of BME people throughout Scottish history.

CRER is delighted to invite you to be a part of this and to take part in Black History Month 2025!
